Sporobolus heterolepis ‘Tara’
Dwarf Prairie Dropseed
Shorter and more upright than the species, having fine-textured, vase-shaped foliage that turns a splendid gold to orange-red in fall. Songbirds dine on the scented seed heads that rise above the foliage. Great winter interest. Used in rock gardens, garden edges, and also in mass plantings.
Offered in a 50 plug and 15 cm pot.
